I’m very excited that it is already 2009 because this year would be the year that I’ll be settling down and make myself my own family. The big day is this coming June since we were told it would be the best month to get married. We have been preparing for that big day since last year, making church reservations, which was by the way a real hard work, restaurant reservations for the reception, the band that would play for us, which I even had to check out tons of wedding singers just so I can make sure that I’ll get the best for me and my girl.
Speaking of my girl, she also made some of her own preparations and arrangements for our big day. She told me she already contacted some people so she could have some good selections for wedding gowns. She already search a lot of designers as well and picked some of her favorites so she can make sure that she will look her best by the time of our wedding. As for me, I already have a suit to wear and it is courtesy of my father. I just have to figure out now what food should we serve in the reception so everything would be fine by the time of the big day.

Weddings are special events by nature. Most couples feel the modern ceremony and want to make their wedding more personal by changing it in some ways. Some attempt to make their weddings more personal by combining the ceremony with activities that are of special importance to them. Today, we see couples that they are the one who chose the contemporary music. Some take it largely; while avid skydiving couples have held their weddings in mid-air, scuba enthusiasts have had underwater. The wedding is composed of Co-ed Wedding Shower, Bridal Shower, Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties, Rehearsal Dinner, Gift-Opening Party. The bridal shower is still fun (for girls) and a co-ed party can be just as fun and funny. The party includes friends, games, foods, drinks, and gifts. The host of the party is the Maid of Honor, helped by the bridesmaids. A theme is usually chosen for the party, the couple decides the guest list, and that includes all their friends. The party must be scheduled about two months before the wedding. In addition, the brideʼs family should not host the party. Second, the Bachelor and Bachelorette Parties. The Bachelor Party is a social gathering for the guys to bond and have a good time together. This includes going to a cool bar or in a favorite restaurant, or a road trip. While Bachelorette Party, girls going to a male strip tease show wherein the party can be done at a friendʼs house or hotel with drinks and gifts for the bride. Just make sure it is what the bride wants to do. Third, the Rehearsal Dinner. The rehearsal is an essential exercise in practicing the real thing.

It is fabulous gathering of your closest family and friends, all in celebration of you! You can thank them by kissing them, hugging them, and toasting them. Also, takes lots of photos ʽcoz itʼs a special night. Lastly, the Gift-Opening. This is another reason for another party! This private party is usually held few days after the newlyweds return from their honeymoon. The party consists of parents of the bride, maid of honor, brothers, sisters, and the newlyweds. It is spent by enjoying drinks, foods, and opening gifts.
